Turkon Container Transportation & Shipping Inc. was established in March 1997 by Kasif Kalkavan Group of Companies beginning with a scheduled service between U.S., Turkey and Med. On April of the same year , Turkon Line’s İzmir agency opened , and on October Mersin agency was opened too.

Turkon Line calls ports in the Mediterranean, Israel, North America and Europe. With its owned new containers serving the needs of the shippers, Turkon also provides specialized equipment such as euro palette wide, 40’/45' high cube, flat rack, open top, hanging garment and reefer containers. Turkon achieved a good standing position in the market among its Turkish and foreign competitors with its own fast and newly built vessel fleet. These vessels incorporate the latest technology and speed built by Sedef Shipyard, another member of the Turkon Holding Companies. In return these vessels deliver the fastest transit time currently in the market.
